Description
Tomii Cycles x SimWorks Collaboration Part 2: The Farwest Grip
It's been about a year since the Faraway Tire, developed in the previous SimWorks x Tomii Cycles collaboration.
Cacti, canyons, and a full moon illuminating the wilderness without obstruction. The tire, abundantly featuring motifs from the American Southwest, will undoubtedly be one of SimWorks' biggest announcements in 2025 and one of our bestsellers.
While tire tread patterns are typically designed to be practical and function-oriented, considering grip and rolling resistance for the intended road surface, filtering them through Nao Tomii's motto of "Build Fun Bikes!" ensures they become enjoyable while maintaining functionality. Born from this "Build Fun Bikes!" spirit is the Farwest Grip, the second collaboration between SimWorks and Tomii Cycles.
Speaking of unique grips, Austin is a mecca for BMX. You can find designs conceived by BMX manufacturers and signature models of professional riders residing in Austin. Austin, where Nao lives, is actually a paradise for grip development. Having undergone repeated testing in such a place, its comfortable feel is guaranteed. With a slightly thicker grip and a compound that provides solid traction, we focused not just on its cute appearance but also on the feel of the grip itself.
While race specs and the quality of functional items are valuable, we believe that products overflowing with fun and creativity like this are equally important.
